This written report on the financial analysis of Sherwin Williams determines that the firm is fairly valued and can be an attractive acquirer. Our team did extensive research to provide a summary of the company’s peer group and a base for us to forecast 5 years in the future with our financial analysis. We then have a 20-minute presentation on the highlights of our written report. Through this portion of the project, I learned how to:

 

  • Demonstrate an understanding of analytical concepts

  • Hone teamwork, project management, and presentation skills

Financial analysis and model: Sherwin Williams

This Excel document shows the calculations to support our 5 year forecast for a financial analysis of Sherwin Williams. Through this portion of the project, I learned how to:

 

  • Create a forecasted balance sheetincome statement, and free cash flow

  • Calculate ratios that are informative to a company for a ratio analysis

  • Perform a firm valuation using a Discounted Cash Flow approach and peer multiples (e.g. P/E, PEG, EBITDA)

BUSINESS PROPOSAL: REVERSE VENDING MACHINES

This business proposal to the Dallas Chamber of Commerce is written on behalf of PepsiCo to tackle the social issue of homelessness in the downtown Dallas area. The reverse vending machines in the program attempted to motivate homeless people to change and to increase recycling in Dallas. Through this project, I learned how to:

 

  • Write a proper proposal

  • Write a formal agenda and progress report

  • Manage conflict or disagreements within a group

  • Develop stronger communication skills through the presentation

BUSINESS PLAN: INTERNATIONAL SERVICE STRATEGY

This business plan is focused on selecting a hypothetic organization and creating a strategy for expanding the service overseas. Our team identified a shortage of senior care in China and devised an international business plan to build our case by taking into consideration cultural factors, socioeconomic factors, marketing considerations, and more. Through this project, I learned how to:

 

  • Research and find credible sources for evidence

  • Be flexible 

  • Improve my written skills

EXTRACURRICULAR//

first year leader: presentation

As a First Year Leader, this is a presentation I co-created to teach 100+ freshman about academic communication. This a 50-minute lesson that I taught completely on my own. Through this, I learned how to:

 

  • Create a successful and effective PowerPoint

  • Be adaptable while presenting

  • Be engaging with the audience
